1/2 kilos wheat flour
2 sticks unsalted butter , at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 can condensed milk , sweetened (lechera)
powdered sugar, or frosting for decoration

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
Sift the flour into a deep bowl, mix in the butter in pieces and combine with the rest of the ingredients.
Let sit in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
On a floured surface, place the dough and roll out to less than 1 centimeter thick.
Cut into desired shapes and place on a baking sheet previously greased with butter.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until they no longer feel very soft.
Let cool and decorate.
