  • 2/3 cups cocoa powder
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 2/3 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cups unsalted butter, smooth
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tub vanilla frosting
  • food coloring, green and yellow

  • Preheat the oven to 180ºC. In a 24-cupcake tray, place the liners.
  • Mix the flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt, and baking powder in the bowl of the mixer.
  • Add the sugar with the softened butter, water, vanilla extract, and eggs to the mixer and stir until you have a smooth and homogeneous mixture.
  • Put the chocolate chips in a bowl and mix with 2 tablespoons of flour. Add to the mixer mixture and stir briefly.
  • Divide the cupcake mixture among the 24 cupcake liners until they are 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Add a few drops of green food coloring to the vanilla frosting until the desired green is achieved.
  • When the cupcakes are cool, add the frosting and green chocolate chips.
  • Using a piping bag, make the white lines of the field with frosting.
  • Melt the white chocolate in a double boiler, place wax paper on a tray, and then paint the chocolate with a few drops of yellow food coloring.
  • Put the melted chocolate in a piping bag and shape the goalposts on wax paper. Freeze for 10 minutes and then place them on the cupcake.
