Chocolate Hazelnut Cupcakes

  • 500 grams all-purpose wheat flour, sifted
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 100 cocoa powder
  • 1 salt
  • 360 grams unsalted butter
  • 400 grams brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 500 milliliters water, hot
  • 1 cup hazelnut chocolate cream, half is used for decoration

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C for 15 minutes.
  • Dissolve the cocoa in the hot water.
  • Cream the butter, sugar, and 1/2 cup of the hazelnut cream with a spatula.
  • Add the eggs one by one.
  • Incorporate the dry ingredients and the cocoa previously dissolved in hot water.
  • Beat at medium speed for 5 minutes.
  • Fill the cupcake liners 3/4 full.
  • Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cupcakes cool in the mold and remove them to decorate with the remaining hazelnut cream and candies.
