These are cupcakes with a frosting that isn’t too sweet, and everyone will love them. They can be decorated for any occasion; in this case, for Valentine's Day.
1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature (buttercream)
1 cup sugar, (buttercream)

Preheat the oven to 180°C.
In a bowl, beat the butter with the sugar until combined, then add the eggs one by one until incorporated. Add the vanilla extract, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, and beat.
Add the flour alternately with the milk (add one third of the flour and one third of the milk until all ingredients are used) until everything is very well integrated.
Place cupcake liners on a baking tray and fill them with the mixture, then bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
For the Buttercream: Place in a small pot over heat, add the milk and flour, and stir until a paste forms. Allow to cool completely.
Place the cooled paste in a bowl, add the vanilla, and beat until slightly fluffy.
In another bowl, beat the butter with the sugar until creamy, then add it to the mixture of beaten flour and milk, and beat until well combined.
