Cupcakes with Buttercream (Super Easy)

These are cupcakes with a frosting that isn’t too sweet, and everyone will love them. They can be decorated for any occasion; in this case, for Valentine's Day.

  • 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/3 cups cow's milk
  • 4 tablespoons flour, (buttercream)
  • 1 cup cow's milk, (buttercream)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence, (buttercream)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature (buttercream)
  • 1 cup sugar, (buttercream)

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • In a bowl, beat the butter with the sugar until combined, then add the eggs one by one until incorporated. Add the vanilla extract, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, and beat.
  • Add the flour alternately with the milk (add one third of the flour and one third of the milk until all ingredients are used) until everything is very well integrated.
  • Place cupcake liners on a baking tray and fill them with the mixture, then bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • For the Buttercream: Place in a small pot over heat, add the milk and flour, and stir until a paste forms. Allow to cool completely.
  • Place the cooled paste in a bowl, add the vanilla, and beat until slightly fluffy.
  • In another bowl, beat the butter with the sugar until creamy, then add it to the mixture of beaten flour and milk, and beat until well combined.
