Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, beat the butter with the sugar using an electric mixer until fluffy. Add the eggs and yolks one by one. Add the vanilla.
Alternating, add a little of the flour mixture and a little of the milk, continuing until you finish with the flour. Mix until combined, do not overmix.
Line a cupcake tray with liners and fill each one halfway with an ice cream scoop.
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes. Be careful! Do not open the oven before time as they will deflate and lose their cupcake shape.
Take out the cupcakes and let them cool completely.
In a large bowl, beat the butter until very soft, making sure it is mixed evenly. Add the powdered sugar, salt, milk, and vanilla. Beat until smooth and creamy.
Divide the frosting into different small bowls and add the food coloring of your choice. Fill a piping bag with the frosting color you prefer and the tip of your choice. You can use the star-shaped one.
Decorate with M&M's; you can make a flower, a heart, or the initial of the celebrant. Use your creativity to make your own cupcakes.
