Fluffy Chocolate Cupcakes

These delicious cupcakes are some of the best I have ever made, as they turn out very fluffy and have a delightful chocolate flavor, especially if you add chips. You must bake them at least once in your life!!

  • 1/2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup water, warm
  • 1 1/3 cups wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 cups butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs

  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place the cocoa in the hot water and stir with a spoon until fully incorporated, then let it cool slightly.
  • Mix the flour with the baking powder, baking soda, and salt, and sift very well.
  • Beat the butter; after beating it for about a minute, start adding the sugar gradually, then add the vanilla.
  • Begin adding the flour to the mixture we prepared earlier with the butter (note, the flour should be sifted to avoid lumps).
  • Once this is incorporated, add it to the cocoa mixture gradually and beat until well combined. Add the chocolate chips.
  • Place the cupcake liners in a cupcake tray and fill them with the mixture up to a maximum of 2/3.
  • Bake the cupcakes for 16 to 20 minutes at 180°.
