These cupcakes feature a sugar print decoration; you can use any image you like and see how attractive and original they look. The sugar print is completely edible.
Preheat the oven to 170°C or 375°F and prepare the cupcake molds.
In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat 1/2 cup of butter until fluffy, add the sugar and beat until well combined, then add one egg at a time.
Start gradually incorporating the flour mixture into the butter until fully combined. Add one tablespoon of vanilla and mix for 2 minutes.
Divide the batter into the cupcake molds and let bake for 10 minutes or until done. Allow to cool before frosting.
For decoration, you will need sugar-coated wafers and print the Smurfs image on a special printer using edible ink or trace the image with edible markers.
Place the already decorated sugar wafer and, using a star tip, pipe the frosting around the cupcake, covering the edge of the wafer.
