1 3/4 cups cake mix, vanilla
1 1/4 cups flour
1 cup butter with salt, at room temperature
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
4 eggs
1/2 cups cow's milk
1/2 cups plain yogurt
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature (for the frosting)
6 cups icing sugar, (for the frosting)
1/2 cups cow's milk, (for the frosting)
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence, (for the frosting)
50 grams fondant
red food coloring

Preheat the oven to 180ºC and place the cupcake liners in the muffin pans.
In a bowl, mix the flours, sugar, and baking powder.
In a mixer at medium speed, beat the butter.
Add and beat the eggs, milk, yogurt, and vanilla.
Add the dry ingredients to the previous mixture and beat until well combined.
Fill the cupcake liners to 2/3 full and bake for about 15-20 minutes.
For the frosting, mix the butter in a mixer until it is soft and creamy.
Add 4 cups of sugar, milk, and vanilla at low speed until well combined.
Add 2 more cups of sugar and mix until it is light and forms peaks.
Add 1 or 2 drops of red food coloring to tint the frosting light pink.
Store the frosting in the refrigerator until the cupcakes are cool; once cool, decorate with a piping bag.
Add 2 drops of red food coloring to the fondant and shape the roses. Decorate by placing them on top of the frosting.
