In a bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix and the soda using your mixer for one minute.
Fill the cupcake liners three-quarters full with the mixture, place them in the oven for 26 minutes or until you insert a toothpick and it comes out dry.
Let them cool and remove them from the tray.
