270 grams butter, 3 bars, at room temperature
1 cup Great Value® Sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
3 cups Great Value® wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoons Great Value® plain salt
2 cups pitted dates, chopped
1 cup Great Value® icing sugar
1/2 teaspoons orange zest
1 tablespoon orange juice

Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Grease and flour a ring mold.
In a mixer or bowl, mix the butter with the sugar until creamy, then add the eggs one by one.
In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the butter mixture. Beat until fully incorporated and add the dates.
Pour the mixture into a mold and bake for 40 minutes. Let it cool.
For the frosting, mix the powdered sugar with the orange zest and juice. Set aside.
