Delicious Chocolate Bread Pudding

Use all the leftover bread that has gone stale to make this Chocolate Bread Pudding recipe.

  • 2 bolillo rolls
  • 1 chocolate donut, (stale)
  • 1 concha, of chocolate (stale)
  • 2 chocolate muffin, (stale)
  • 1/3 cups cow's milk, warm
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 can condensed milk, or 165 grams of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1 teaspoon almond essence
  • 3/4 cups chocolate chips, (optional)

  • Break the bread into pieces and let them harden for 2 days, place them in a bowl and pour in the warm milk while mixing a little, let it sit for 15 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and mix them with the evaporated milk and the essences, then pour this mixture into the bowl with the soaked bread and mix very well, add the sweetened condensed milk and mix evenly. If desired, you can add chocolate chips.
  • In a greased and floured mold, pour in the previous mixture. Preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 200 degrees, then lower the temperature to 180 degrees for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted.
  • For decoration, mix 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon with 1/3 cup of powdered sugar and use a strainer to sprinkle over the cake, adding a personal touch with some chocolate or chocolate chips.
