Caramel Popcorn

Delicious and practical caramel popcorn recipe, ideal for an afternoon watching a fun show, award ceremonies, movies, and series. Enjoy them.

  • 3 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 5 cups popcorn kernels
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 3 cups brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • Prepare two large baking sheets with wax paper.
  • In a large pot, mix the sugar, salt, butter, and 1 cup of water.
  • Cook for 15 minutes, making sure to stir continuously with a wooden spoon. The mixture will turn into a thick caramel.
  • Quickly remove the caramel from the oven and add the baking soda. This will cause the caramel to start bubbling and cool down faster.
  • Immediately add the popcorn to the caramel and mix well with the wooden spoon.
  • Spread the caramel popcorn onto baking sheets and let cool.
  • As soon as it's cool, cut into small pieces with your hands.
