  • Pour 1/4 cup of hot milk into a bowl. Sprinkle the baking powder. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the remaining 1/2 cup of hot milk with the sugar and butter. Add it to the yeast mixture and beat, add the egg and continue beating until well integrated.
  • Add the flour and salt, and beat until the dough starts to form. Remove the mixer and begin kneading with your hands. If the dough is too sticky, gradually add more flour until manageable.
  • Take the dough out of the bowl and place it on a previously floured flat surface. Knead for about 5 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic. Form a ball and let it rest in a warm place for about 30 to 40 minutes.
  • In a small plate or bowl, mash the bananas and once the resting time has passed, add them to the dough, incorporating well.
  • Place the dough back on a floured surface and flatten it a bit with a rolling pin. Cut strips from the dough and roll them on the surface to form intestines, join the ends and shape them into a nice circle.
  • Heat enough oil in a deep pot, place the donuts (according to the size of the pot, making sure they don’t stick or flatten), and let them cook for a few minutes until golden. Let them cool to add the topping.
  • Melt the chocolate in a saucepan (according to package instructions). To coat the donuts, dip half of them in the chocolate and place them on a rack to allow the chocolate to cool and harden.
