Low
  • We mix the baking powder with the flour.
  • We incorporate the milk and mix until everything is integrated.
  • We add 1 cup of sugar and all the other ingredients except the chocolate and oil.
  • We stir well until we obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  • We separate half of the mixture.
  • We dissolve the chocolate tablet in a container, and once dissolved, we incorporate it into the mixture we set aside until homogeneous.
  • We let the mixture rest for about 20 minutes to rise due to the yeast.
  • We heat a large pan with plenty of oil over medium heat.
  • Once the mixture has risen, on a previously floured surface, we knead. Then we roll out and flatten with a rolling pin.
  • We cut several donuts from the mixture using a donut cutter, removing the excess until we finish the dough. We do this with both mixtures. If a cutter is not available, take strips of dough and join them at the end to shape them into donuts.
  • In the hot oil, we drop each of the donuts and fry them on both sides without burning them.
  • On a large plate, we put the remaining sugar. Once the donuts come out, we coat them in sugar on both sides until fully covered.
  • We let them cool on a tray separately.
