Donut Pudding

If you think bread pudding is a delicacy, wait until you try my version with donuts. You won't want to miss it. Make it with your kids, it's delicious and requires no time or effort.

  • 6 donuts, glazed
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cups cow's milk
  • 3/4 cups whipping cream
  • 1/4 cups raw sugar
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • chocolate chips
  • 1 pinch salt
  • vanilla essence

  • Cut the donuts into 5 pieces. Place them in a lightly buttered baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix the egg, milk, heavy cream, brown sugar, vanilla, nutmeg, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  • Pour the mixture over the donuts. Make sure all are soaked, let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C, bake uncovered for 40 minutes.
  • Heat in a pot without boiling 1/4 cup of heavy cream. When it is very hot, remove from heat and add the chocolate chips. Mix until completely melted.
  • Remove the bread pudding from the oven and drizzle with the chocolate sauce. Serve warm.
