Homemade Christmas Donuts

These are super easy donuts to make at home, and the little ones will love them as they can help you make them.

  • 2 eggs
  • 500 grams flour
  • 1 1/2 cups cow's milk , warm
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 70 grams sugar
  • 4 teaspoons yeast
  • 1/3 cups evaporated milk, (for the icing)
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar, (for the icing)
  • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter , (for the icing)
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla essence, (for the icing)

  • In a bowl, mix the warm milk and yeast, along with a bit of flour. Let this mixture rest for 10 minutes.
  • Add the eggs, salt, sugar, and the rest of the flour, and mix well until a homogeneous dough forms.
  • Roll out the dough and then cut it using a glass or cup for the outer circle and the cap of a bottle for the hole.
  • For the icing: In a pan, melt the butter over low heat, place it in a bowl and add the other ingredients. Mix until smooth.
  • Place the donuts on a baking sheet and put them in the oven for 10-12 minutes (180ºC). Let cool and then glaze them.
