Quick and Economical Donuts

  • 400 grams sifted flour
  • 20 grams baker's yeast
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1/2 glasses cow's milk
  • 30 grams butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pinch salt
  • vegetable oil, for frying

  • In a bowl, add the flour and make a well in the center, add the yeast, milk, and a pinch of sugar.
  • Knead until a dough starts to form, add the remaining sugar, salt, room temperature butter, and eggs.
  • Knead well and let the dough rest for one hour in a warm place.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the dough until it reaches a thickness of 8mm, using a round cutter of 4 cm in diameter to cut the dough, and in each circle, cut out a circle of 1 cm in diameter in the center.
  • Cover and let it rest in a warm place for 2 hours. Fry in a pan with 3 cm of hot oil. Brown on both sides, remove, and let drain on paper towels to remove excess grease.
