  • In a bowl, pour ¼ cup of warm milk and gradually add the yeast. Stir a little and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • In another larger bowl, combine ½ cup of warm milk, the cup of sugar, and the butter. Add the mixture with the yeast and stir. Add the egg, flour, mint extract, and salt, and beat until it reaches consistency. If the dough is sticky, gradually add flour until it is no longer sticky.
  • On a clean surface, sprinkle flour so the dough doesn't stick and start kneading with your hands for 5 minutes. Gather the dough, cover it with a cloth, and let it rest for 45 minutes.
  • After this time, knead and shape the donuts into small balls and flatten them. Using a glass or lid from a container, cut out the center and let them rest for another 15 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and then bake the donuts for 7 to 8 minutes, making sure they do not brown too much.
  • Once the time has passed, let them cool for at least 5 minutes before applying the glaze on top (hot glaze melts, which is why they should be cool).
  • For the glaze: In a bowl, add 3 tablespoons of jam, mix with powdered sugar and food coloring. Finally, add hot water and mix. The glaze should be like a thick sauce; you can add more powdered sugar until it reaches consistency.
