  • 10 grams dry yeast
  • 3/4 cups milk
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cups butter
  • flour, for rolling out
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • sugar, for sprinkling

  • Mix the flour, yeast, milk, sugar, salt, and eggs in a bowl. Knead until it starts to take the right consistency and incorporate the butter. Continue kneading for 15 more minutes or until the donut dough is smooth.
  • Place the dough in a previously greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rest for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  • Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough on a floured surface until it reaches a thickness of 1 cm. Let it rest for 10 more minutes before cutting the donuts.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a pot over medium heat and fry the donuts on both sides. Then, transfer the donuts to a bowl with sugar to sprinkle them.
