Drunken Sweets

Drunken sweets are a typical Mexican candy from Puebla, they taste delicious and are perfect for ending a meal.

  • 1 water
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 1 teaspoon artificial flavoring, of your preferred flavor
  • 50 grams unflavored gelatin powder, diluted
  • 120 grams cornstarch
  • rums, to taste
  • vegetable colorings, of various colors
  • sugar , to coat them at the end

  • Boil the water with the flour, coloring, and gelatin while stirring constantly.
  • Once it boils, remove from heat and let cool.
  • Add the rum when it's warm.
  • Then add the flavoring and sugar. Mix well.
  • Pour into a baking dish. Refrigerate and once solidified, cut into cubes.
  • Coat them in sugar to create a layer.
