The milk, sugar, vanilla essence, cinnamon stick, and baking soda are placed in a saucepan and left to simmer for approximately 35 minutes, stirring constantly.
When it reaches the first boil, remove the cinnamon stick. We will need to wait until the mixture reaches the soft ball stage and, without stopping stirring, remove it from the heat.
After that, once thickened and aerated, pour it into a mold lined with non-stick paper and leave it in the refrigerator for at least three hours.
Once it has set, it is unmolded and cut into squares.
