Easter Cake Pops

A very creative way to make cake pops this Easter, your kids will love them.

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 2 cups vanilla frosting
  • 300 grams semisweet chocolate
  • white chocolate, or pink chocolate
  • rainbow sprinkles
  • mini marshmallows
  • food coloring, of your preferred color

  • Start by preparing the chocolate cake according to the instructions on the box. Once it's ready, allow it to cool.
  • Prepare two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a food processor, grind the chocolate cake until you get a chocolate cake flour.
  • Pour the chocolate cake into a bowl and mix with the vanilla frosting. Mix well until you form a moist and manageable dough.
  • Make 50 balls with your hands using the dough and place them on the trays. Chill the balls in the freezer for 10 minutes or in the refrigerator for about 2 hours or until they are hard and firm.
  • Melt the semi-sweet chocolate in a double boiler and in another pot, melt the pink or white chocolate.
  • Dip the cake balls in the chocolate (half in one and half in the other) and place them on the parchment paper. Insert the lollipop stick and decorate with sprinkles or marshmallows.
  • Allow them to dry completely before serving.
