Bicolor Cookies

Delicious and fun for kids. Ideal for snack time or to take a break while enjoying them in the afternoon. My kids love them at any time.

  • 250 grams flour , sifted
  • 125 grams unsalted butter
  • 150 grams powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla

  • In a bowl, soften the butter and add the sugar, mixing until well integrated.
  • Add the egg and mix until well integrated.
  • Add the vanilla.
  • Sift the flour and incorporate it into the mixture gradually, until you have a homogeneous dough.
  • Divide the dough into two equal parts, and to one add the cocoa and mix until well integrated.
  • Leave both parts in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Roll out the doughs separately to form rectangles.
  • Put the chocolate rectangle on top of the vanilla one, rolling it up without leaving spaces between the doughs.
  • Cut into slices about 3 mm thick with a knife.
  • Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
