Gingerbread cookies filled with Nutella

  • 3/4 cups honey
  • 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/4 teaspoons clove powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2/3 cups butter
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • flour, for rolling out the dough
  • 15 grams Nutella®, per serving
  • milk, for serving
  • fruit, for serving

Low
  • Mix the honey, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves in a pot and heat over low for 3 minutes or until combined. Add the baking powder and mix with a whisk. Remove from heat.
  • Add the butter, egg, and flour gradually, using a sifter. Continue mixing until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous dough. Set aside.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface until it is about 5 mm thick. Cut the dough with a gingerbread man cookie cutter and freeze for 15 minutes before baking.
  • Bake at 175 °C for 10 minutes, remove from the oven and let cool.
  • Spread 15 grams of Nutella® on one cookie and place another cookie on top. Serve with milk and fruit.
