Mix the butter (at room temperature) with the sugar.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract, continuing to mix.
Add the flour and keep beating; when half of the flour is incorporated, knead by hand.
Let the dough rest for one hour in the refrigerator, covered with plastic wrap.
Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
Place the dough between two pieces of clear plastic wrap and, using a rolling pin, form a sheet half a centimeter thick.
Cut the cookies with a bunny-shaped cookie cutter and place them on a non-stick baking tray.
Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes, until golden brown but still a bit soft. Then let cool on a rack.
Cover all the cookies with white icing.
Tint some icing with pink, blue, and purple colors.
Using a piping tip and pink icing, make the ears, tail, feet, and nose.
Using another piping tip and purple icing, make the whiskers.
Using a small piping tip and blue icing, make the eyes.
Put the cookies in the refrigerator to harden the icing.
