  • 3 cups flour
  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 250 grams unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • blue food coloring

  • Preheat the oven to 180ºC and prepare the baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Mix the flour, sugar, butter, and salt in a food processor.
  • Using a fork or a whisk, mix the egg yolks and vanilla. Add the flour mixture to make the dough in the processor.
  • Transfer the dough to a flat, floured surface and shape it by hand into a ball of dough.
  • With a floured rolling pin, flatten the dough.
  • Cut the cookies into snowflake shapes (buy the mold).
  • Transfer the cookies to the baking sheet and bake in the oven for 10 minutes. (The cooking time depends on the thickness of the cookies, it is important to watch them so they don't burn).
  • While the cookies are baking, paint the fondant in two shades of blue, one lighter and one more intense.
  • With the help of a rolling pin, roll out the fondant, white, light blue, and dark blue.
  • Cut with the snowflake mold.
  • Take the cookies out of the oven and add the fondant flakes.
