Oyster Cookies with Pearls

Prepare these delicious and original oyster cookies with pearls, your kids will be happy. They are perfect for children's parties.

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 250 grams unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • red food coloring
  • 1 cup vanilla frosting
  • sugar pearl sprinkles

  • Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  • Mix the flour, sugar, butter, and salt in a food processor.
  • With a fork or whisk, mix the egg yolks and vanilla. Add the flour mixture to make the dough in the processor.
  • Transfer the dough to a flat, floured surface and shape it with your hands until it forms a ball of dough.
  • With a floured rolling pin, flatten the dough.
  • Cut the cookies into small circles.
  • Transfer the cookies to the baking tray and place them in the oven for 10 minutes. (The cooking time depends on the thickness of the cookies; it is important to watch them so they don’t burn).
  • To paint the frosting, add one or two drops of red food coloring and stir well until it turns pink.
  • Remove the cookies from the oven, wait for them to cool down, add the vanilla frosting and an edible pearl for decoration.
