Preheat the oven to 180ºC and prepare the baking sheets with parchment paper.
Mix the flour, sugar, butter, and salt in a food processor.
Using a fork or whisk, mix the egg yolks and vanilla. Add the flour mixture to make the dough in the processor.
Transfer the dough to a flat, floured surface and shape it with your hands until it forms a ball of dough.
With a floured rolling pin, flatten the dough.
Cut the cookies into the shapes of little boats, flags, swords, palm trees, etc.
Transfer the cookies to the baking sheet and place in the oven for 10 minutes. (The baking time depends on the thickness of the cookies, it's important to keep an eye on them to prevent burning).
Serve the cookies; you can decorate them with colored icing.
