Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cookies that are very easy to prepare, ideal for any day or for a parent-child activity, as they use simple ingredients, great for enjoying alone or sharing at the office. Perfect for an afternoon of reading accompanied by coffee or cocoa.

  • 375 grams margarine
  • 650 grams flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence, or orange
  • 75 grams oats, in flakes
  • 300 grams chocolate chips
  • 185 grams brown sugar

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • In the mixer, put the butter along with the sugar on low speed until it forms a sort of cream.
  • Add the egg to the mixture.
  • Add the vanilla or orange essence and continue beating until it becomes creamier.
  • Gradually incorporate the flour (already mixed with baking powder and salt).
  • Slowly add the oats, the mixture will go from creamy to a uniform dough.
  • Remove from the mixer and with your hand or a spatula (better with your hand) incorporate the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.
  • On a previously greased tray or lined with wax paper, make cookies of the desired size or you can start by making balls and then flatten them.
  • Bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes depending on the power of your oven, (until golden).
  • Let cool for 5 minutes and enjoy.
