Festive Butter Cookies

Delicious homemade butter cookies, they are easy to prepare and fun to decorate.

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt; sift with a strainer and set aside.
  • Beat the butter, shortening, and sugar until smooth. Add the egg, vanilla, and sour cream. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture and continue kneading.
  • Place some of the dough on a floured surface and roll out to a thickness of about 1/4 inch, cut into the desired shape, and place on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • You can decorate with icing or cream cheese frosting in your choice of colors.
