Typical recipe for homemade cookies that melt in your mouth. It's a very simple cookie recipe made with lard and sugar, ingredients that give them this characteristic soft texture. They are delicious, especially when paired with a good cup of coffee.

  • 1 kilo flour 1 kilo flour
  • 700 grams lard
  • 500 grams sugar 500 grams sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda

  • Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  • Grease two baking trays.
  • Make a mound with the flour on a surface. In the center, add the baking soda, sugar, lard, and mix very well with your hands until the dough rises and doesn't stick to your hands; if the flour doesn't rise, add a little more flour.
  • Form small balls and arrange them on the trays, press each one and make a little indentation in the middle, then sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake until they turn golden without burning.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
