Whole Grain Oat Cookies

This is a recipe I love to make because it is easy and quick. Kids love to take them to school as a snack; they are very nutritious and healthy because they are whole grain and also contain honey.

  • 1/4 cups sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 2/3 cups raisins
  • 1 cup oats
  • 3/4 whole-wheat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pinch salt
Preparation

  • Add honey and salt to the butter and beat.
  • Gradually add the sugar and the well-beaten egg and mix.
  • Incorporate the raisins, oats, and whole wheat flour.
  • Form small balls, place them on a baking sheet, and flatten them.
  • Bake for 10 minutes and remove them once they are well golden.
  • Detach them from the baking sheet when they are cool.
