Banana and Chocolate Upside-Down Cake

  • 2 bananas, mashed
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 125 milliliters butter
  • 1/4 cups milk, (60 ml)
  • 130 grams flour
  • 30 grams cocoa
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/2 tablespoons baking soda
  • honey, for the base
  • butter, for greasing the pan
  • 2 bananas, for the base
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder, for the base

  • Mix the eggs with the mashed banana, sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. Add the butter until incorporated, while continuing to beat. Add the flour, cocoa, ground cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda, and mix thoroughly. Set aside.
  • In a pan of approximately 24 cm in diameter, arrange the banana over the entire base, add honey, and pour in the upside-down cake mixture. Bake for 35 minutes at 180 °C.
  • Let the cake rest until it cools down, then unmold.
