  • 2 1/2 cups flour, for the crust
  • 1/2 teaspoons sugar, for the crust
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt, for the crust
  • 180 grams butter, for the crust
  • 7 tablespoons water, for the crust
  • 1 jar Smucker's® cherry jam, 349 g, for the filling
  • egg, for brushing

  • Beat the flour, sugar, salt, and butter until you achieve a sandy texture. Then slowly pour in the water and continue mixing until you have a well-integrated dough. Let it rest in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough, line a pie dish, and pour the Smucker's® cherry jam over the base. Set aside.
  • Roll out the rest of the dough, cut thick strips, weave them to form a lattice, and place over the pie with Smucker's® cherry jam. Seal by pressing the edges.
  • Brush the pie with the egg and bake at 180 °C for 45 minutes.
