Easy Fried Plantains

Fried plantains are typical fair desserts, and although they have a unique flavor and texture on their own, they can be accompanied by toppings that make them even more delicious.

  • 4 plantains, ripe
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • whipped cream

  • chocolate chips

  • Cut the plantains in half lengthwise and set aside.
  • Meanwhile, heat enough vegetable oil to medium temperature in a pot; it should be well heated.
  • Fry the plantains in deep frying for about 3 minutes, or until achieving a medium golden color, then remove from the oil and drain the excess.
  • Prepare the fried plantains with whipped cream, cherries, chocolate chips, and finish by drizzling with La Lechera® Sirve Fácil Original.
