Easy Vanilla Cake

  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup cow's milk

  • Preheat the oven to 180° C and prepare two 15 cm pans with non-stick spray.
  • In a bowl, beat the butter until creamy, add the sugar, vanilla, and egg yolks.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour with the baking powder and add it to the previous mixture, alternating with the milk.
  • Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form and gently fold them into the previous mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into the two pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let it cool for 10 minutes before unmolding.
