  • 2 cups peanuts
  • 1/4 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar

  • Toast the peanuts in a skillet over low heat for 5 minutes. Set aside.
  • Add the sugar to a pot and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes or until it browns. When it browns, add the water and lower the temperature.
  • Incorporate the peanuts into the caramel and cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Place the caramel-coated peanuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover with more parchment paper and press down with a rolling pin. Let cool.
  • Cut the peanut palanqueta into pieces and place on a board with parchment paper.
