Sweet Ripe Banana Empanadas

Boiled and mashed banana, the filling has two variations: one can be with milk mixture and the other with beans, rolled in sugar to finish the preparation. They are a delicious dessert option.

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 cups beans, cooked, blended, and fried
  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • 1 cup oil
  • sugar

  • Mash the banana until it becomes a dough.
  • Take a small amount of dough and prepare a tortilla, filling it with beans or milk.
  • Seal with a little cold water at the edge. Fry in plenty of oil until they are nicely browned, then remove and let them sit on absorbent paper to remove excess grease. Roll in sugar and cinnamon.
  • For the milk mixture: Dilute the cornstarch in a little room temperature water, add the milk, forming a slurry, and cook over low heat until it thickens.
