Fig and Blue Cheese Tart

If you don’t like desserts that are too sweet but love cheeses... this recipe is for you!

  • 250 grams puff pastry, store-bought
  • 85 grams gorgonzola cheese, or blue cheese
  • 85 grams cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 3 cups fig, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (400 F).
  • In a food processor, blend the gorgonzola cheese with the cream cheese and honey until creamy and smooth.
  • On a clean surface with a little flour, unfold the puff pastry and form a rectangle.
  • Leave a 1-inch border around the puff pastry rectangle and spread the cheese mixture on top.
  • Arrange the figs on top of the cheese.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until it is slightly golden.
  • Remove from the oven and drizzle a few drops of balsamic vinegar (ideally previously reduced in a pan) on top.
  • It is served warm or at room temperature.
