Figs in Syrup with Vanilla

Figs are a flavorful fruit, and with this syrup, they turn out delicious.

  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cups honey
  • 1/2 tablespoons vanilla essence
  • 300 grams fig, natural

  • In a pot, combine water and sugar and bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir the water to help the sugar dissolve.
  • Add the honey and continue mixing. Add the vanilla and the figs, and allow to come back to a boil.
  • Once it boils, reduce the heat to low and cook for 20 more minutes.
  • Remove from heat and transfer to a platter; let it cool completely before serving.
