Amaranth Tartlets with Chocolate and Flan

If you want a delicious and healthy dessert, prepare these delightful amaranth tartlets with dark chocolate filled with light vanilla flan, decorated with chocolate shavings and Greek yogurt. The best part is that you don’t need an oven to make them.

  • 1 cup amaranth
  • 1/2 cups bittersweet chocolate 1/2 cups bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 box D´Gari® light vanilla flan, (20 g)
  • 1 liter light milk 1 liter light milk
  • 5 tablespoons Greek yogurt, fat-free, for decoration
  • 5 teaspoons chocolate shavings, bitter
  • orange zest, for decoration
  • peppermint, for decoration

  • In a bowl, mix the amaranth with the dark chocolate and the zest. Pour into greased tart molds and pack down with the help of a spoon. Refrigerate until firm.
  • Empty the contents of the D´Gari ® vanilla light flan into one liter of warm milk. Heat over low heat and stir until it starts to boil, stirring for 3 minutes.
  • Pour the flan over the amaranth bases and refrigerate until set.
  • Unmold and decorate with half a tablespoon of Greek yogurt, dark chocolate shavings, orange zest, and mint leaves.
