Egg White Flan in the Microwave

Egg White Flan in the microwave is a variation of the traditional Mexican dessert, this preparation does not use egg yolks. This dish has a rich coffee flavor, making it ideal for breakfast or for a dinner with friends.

  • 1 cup San Juan® egg whites
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 3 tablespoons instant coffee
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons condensed milk
  • 1/2 cups sugar

  • Dissolve the coffee in the evaporated milk.
  • In a bowl, combine the San Juan® Egg Whites, the evaporated milk with the coffee, vanilla extract, and sugar, and stir vigorously.
  • In a pot, place the sugar over low heat. Once a caramel forms, remove from heat and pour a little into the bottom of the molds.
  • Place the egg white mixture in the molds and cook for 20 seconds in the microwave. Let the flans set in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • Serve.
