Creamy Homemade Flan

This dessert is delicious and in Mexican households, it is very common to prepare a homemade flan; this recipe is very easy, tasty, and creamy. Make it if you're looking for an economical dessert that everyone will want to finish.

  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons liquid vanilla
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cups cream
  • canned fruit coktail, for decoration

  • Place the sugar in a saucepan and let it melt over medium heat, being careful not to burn it.
  • Once it is completely melted, pour the caramel into the mold where you will make the flan and let it cool.
  • In a larger and deeper pot than our mold, add enough water to boil since the flan is made in a water bath.
  • Blend the other ingredients very well, making sure the starch does not remain lumpy.
  • Once everything is well blended, pour it into the mold and cover it with aluminum foil.
  • Place it in the pot where the water is already boiling, and cover the pot.
  • Let it cook for 45 minutes and check if it's ready by inserting a toothpick in the middle; there is no need to remove the aluminum to check.
  • If the toothpick comes out clean, we can turn off the heat because the flan is done.
