Melt the sugar in a pan; once melted, pour it into the flan mold or a baking dish and distribute it.
In the blender, pour in the can of condensed milk and evaporated milk along with the 5 eggs and blend for about 3 minutes.
Pour into the flan mold or dish and cover very well; if using a baking dish, seal it tightly with aluminum foil.
Cook in a water bath for about 45 minutes; to check if it’s done, insert a fork; if it comes out dirty, it needs more time; if it’s clean, it’s ready. Cool and unmold.
