Apple Donuts

These donuts are also known as apple fritters and are a very easy dessert to make, with a crunchier texture. With this apple fritter recipe, you can give your family a new way to enjoy this fruit, and you can serve it with whatever you prefer, whether it's chocolate sauce or a sprinkle of cinnamon.

  • 4 Washington® red delicious apples

  • Mix the egg, sugar, lemon zest and beat for a few seconds until perfectly mixed and slightly frothy. Alternate dry and liquid ingredients and add the flour, baking powder, and milk. Finally, add the vanilla extract. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  • Peel and core Washington® Red Delicious apples; cut them into slices.
  • Dip the apples in the egg mixture and fry for a few minutes, then remove and drain excess grease. Decorate with powdered sugar and serve with chocolate sauce.
