Apple Tempura

To finish a meal, this recipe for Apple Tempura drizzled with a bit of honey makes for a complete dessert.

  • 3/4 cups beer
  • 3/4 cups flour
  • salt
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • 2 green apples, cored and sliced
  • vegetable oil
  • honey, for garnish

  • In a bowl, combine beer, flour, sugar, and salt, mix well.
  • Heat the oil until it reaches a temperature of 375ºF.
  • Dip the apple slices into the mixture.
  • Remove and fry for 3 minutes.
  • Transfer the tempura and place on absorbent paper, season with salt.
  • Serve with soy sauce.
