Banana Carlota

The carlota is a dessert that is usually made with ladyfingers. This time I decided to try it with economical cookies that everyone knows, and the result was great. Enjoy this cold banana and cinnamon dessert any time of the year.

  • 160 grams María cookies, 1 and a half tubes approx
  • 180 milliliters condensed milk, (1/2 medium can) 180 milliliters condensed milk, (1/2 medium can)
  • 500 grams vanilla flavored custard
  • 200 milliliters evaporated milk 200 milliliters evaporated milk
  • 3 bananas, semi ripe

  • Place a layer of Maria cookies at the bottom of a rectangular baking dish, preferably.
  • Cut the bananas into moderately thick slices.
  • Alternate by placing a layer of banana slices and another layer of cookies. Continue this way until the mold is full.
  • Blend the sweetened condensed milk, the prepared vanilla custard (if it's from a box, make it according to the package instructions), and the sweetened condensed milk.
  • The mixture should not be too liquidy or too thick.
  • Pour into the baking dish, making sure to coat every space of it.
  • At the end, you can add a final layer of cookies. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for 40 minutes or in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • Serve cold, sprinkle with cinnamon and powdered sugar.
