Chocolate and Granola Covered Apple Fritters

  • 4 apples
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cups cow's milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cups bittersweet chocolate, melted, for decoration
  • 1 cup Kellogg's® ancient grains granola: quinoa, amaranth, and apple, for decoration

  • Cut the apples into slices and use a circular cutter to remove the core, so they become rings.
  • In a bowl, mix all the ingredients very well until you achieve a homogeneous mixture; it should not be too liquid or too thick. Cover the rings with this mixture.
  • In a small pot, heat the oil and fry the rings until they are golden brown, then place them on absorbent paper.
  • Cover half of the rings with melted chocolate and decorate with Kellogg’s® quinoa granola.
