  • 2 plantains
  • 1/2 cups espresso coffee
  • 40 grams unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 shot aged rum
  • vanilla ice cream , or Tiramisu flavored ice cream to accompany

  • The bananas are cut in half and sliced thinly while the butter is heated in a skillet over low heat.
  • The bananas are added and fried for about 3 minutes. They should be turned occasionally to achieve an even golden color on both sides.
  • Sugar is mixed with cinnamon and sprinkled over the bananas, then the coffee is added.
  • This mixture is fried again until the bananas are ready. (Approximately 3 to 5 more minutes).
  • The rum is poured into the skillet and tilted to the side to flame the mixture. Once the flames go out, they will be ready to serve.
