Fried Bananas with Garlic

It is a very easy dish to prepare and very versatile; it can be used as part of the main dish, a side, or a snack.

  • 3 bananas, green
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • salt, to taste

  • Peel and wash the bananas, cut into slices about 1 finger thick, and brown them in hot oil.
  • Drain them well and place them between two sheets of plastic wrap. Flatten them with the help of a cutting board so they become nice and thin. Soak them for a few minutes in water with crushed garlic, then drain and add salt.
  • Fry them again until they are nicely browned, drain on paper towels, and serve immediately.
